Papaver orientale ‘Melody’s Orange’

Rich, glowing, orange flowers with contrasty black centers to 6” across float 24-30” over clumps of hairy cut foliage in May and June. This perennial goes dormant with the heat of summer to re-sprout the following spring. Dislikes the heat and humidity of the south and clay soils. Full sun, well drained soil, water during the growing season (Mother Nature usually provides). Glorious!
